What color tux should I wear if my dates dress is a royal Blue Color ?

So my date to prom is wearing a dress that is like a royalish blue, and I was wondering what color I should wear. I was thinking it would look too gothic if I wore black with a royal blue vest and tie. Any suggestions ?

you could wear a white tux then you wouldnt both be wearing a dark colour
